About Us

Stonesteps is a flute and guitar acoustic duo based in North Coastal San Diego. These highly skilled musicians rehearse within earshot of Stonesteps Beach in Encinitas and the sound of the pacific influences their music, which ranges from pop to modern and classic rock.

While much of the music the duo plays is familiar, it receives a fresh acoustic touch. Favorites include selections from Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Greta Van Fleet, Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Collective Soul, Of Monsters and Men, Bruno Mars, Tom Petty, The Beatles, and Steely Dan.

Flutist Jessica Yui delights audiences with masterful flute interpretations. Classically trained, she is known for her exquisite tone and expressive phrasing. She holds a degree in music from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.

Tyler Hardwick is a versatile guitarist specializing in composition, production, and performance. He plays many styles including Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical, Hawaiian “slack key”, and traditional North Indian Classical music. An Encinitas native, Hardwick earned his degree studying music at UCSD and UCSC.
